The Memorial Service for the 22nd Anniversary of Death of Gen. Choi Hong Hi, Ex- President of IMGC and ITF was held in Pyongyang, the capital city of DPR Korea on 15th June. EB members of IMGC and ITF, delegates of National Taekwon-Do Associations, Taekwon-Doists and martial artists across the world participated in the memorial service. They laid wreaths and bundles of flowers to Gen. Choi Hong Hi in the Patriotic Martyr’s Cemetery in the name of ITF and IMGC, and paid condolence to him. Prof. Ri Yong Son, President of IMGC and ITF delivered his memorial speech. Recalling the lifetime and great achievements of Gen. Choi Hong Hi, who founded Taekwon-Do and devoted his whole life for the enhancement of IMGC and ITF he appealed to all Taekwon-Doists and martial artists across the world to do their best to further strengthen and develop ITF and IMGC into more powerful and authoritative international martial arts organizations. Attendants of the Memorial Service for the 22nd Anniversary of Death of Gen. Choi Hong Hi, Ex-President of ITF and IMGC visited Taekwon-Do Holy Center on 15th June. Looking around the center all the participants fully recognized that Taekwon-Do was actually the traditional martial arts of Korea with a long history. That day the participants enjoyed Taekwon-Do Demonstration in Taekwon-Do Palace. The performers fully demonstrated the power of Taekwon-Do with their high techniques of hand-foot breaking and foot power. The demonstration by children and Taekwon-Do instructors was held with great splendor. IMGC EB members, officials of the Organizing Committee of the 9th IMG and other participants to the service visited Mangyongdae, the historical sacred place of revolution, and several other places in Pyongyang.
