The International Martial Art Games Committee is a global martial arts governing body that aims to preserve and develop various kinds of martial arts styles as a common asset of humanity with the ideal of friendship, cooperation and development, and to contribute to the development of martial arts sports and social progress through martial art games.

The International Martial Art Games Committee was founded on September 2, 1999 at the suggestion of the late Gen. Choi Hong Hi, the then President of International Taekwon-Do Federation.

Since its foundation, the International Martial Art Games Committee has organized 8 International Martial Arts Games in DPRK, Thailand, Estonia, Australia, India, Belarus and Italy by involving Taekwon-Do, Karate, Muay, Pangration, Jiujitsu, Kowat-Alrami and other martial arts styles.

Today, 17 international martial arts organizations including International Taekwon-Do Federation, World Karate Confederation Founded by Fritz Wendland, World Pangration Athlima Federation, World Muay Federation, International Jendo Federation, International Federation of Taichichen Association, World Judo Federation, World Jiu Jitsu Confederation, World Federation of Kowat-Alrami and Self-Defense, World Pan-Amateur Kickboxing Association and more than 45 national martial arts games committees have affiliated to the International Martial Art Games Committee.

The supreme leading organ of the IMGC is Congress. There is the Executive board and EB meeting is held between Congresses. The IMGC Commissions are composed of Verification and Ethics Commission, Competition and Umpire Commission, Information Commission, Marketing and Finance Commission.

Executive Board is consisted of the President, 2 Vice-Presidents, Secretary General and members.

The executive body of the IMGC is a secretariat and its headquarters is in Pyongyang, capital of DPRK.

IMGC logo, flag, torch tower and a song are symbols of IMGC.
