Aerial gymnastics is a sport with elements of dance and acrobatic character, and carried out using the tools like static trapeze, elastic Salem, rope, circle, hoop, cubic. It is categorized in triathlon, pentathlon, team standings and freestyle programs. GAPAF was registered as a non-profit public association “European Air Power Athletics Union” in 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2014, the world organization WAAPA was founded and in 2019 it was renamed GAPAF.
