Sqay which is originated from Kashmir region in India is a martial art sport performed on a tatami and being carried out with a stick called “Tura” and a shield made of soft leather called “Bargula”. Competitions are held in seniors, juniors and cadets categories. The International Council of Sqay was founded in 2007 with the objectives of promoting Sqay and training physical culture and moral education in the field of Sqay sport while organizing competitions, festivals, training camps and seminars.
