Jendo is the martial art of the Philippines performed by using bare fists and traditionally used weapons. Jendo was created and systematized in 1973 by Jonathan Makilling Avaya of the Philippines. Jendo is an abbreviation for "June Abaya's Espada y Navaja Depensa Orihinal" which means "the traditional club and sword-fighting system of June Abaya."
