A martial art that incorporates the fighting techniques of the Turks from ancient to modern times and modern fighting systems, Alphagut reflects the culture of the Turkish people. It carries the meaning of a sacred warrior. The founder of Alphagut martial art is Basif Namazov, secretary general of the Azerbaijani Martial Arts Federation Association and chairman of the International Turan Games Committee.
