Jeet Kune Do National Competition

Jeet Kune Do National Competition was held in Uzbekistan from 13-15 June with the attendance of 300 athletes and officials from Tashkent and 12 other cities.

IMGC President visited the IMGC HQ

Prof. Ri Yong Son, President of IMGC & ITF, visited the IMGC HQ on June 11, 2025 to hold the meeting with the officials of IMGC Secretariat. In the meeting were discussed important issues arising in the activities of IMGC: selecting the venue of the 10th IMG and reporting it to EB members and member organizations until the year-end; taking urgent measures to intensify the propaganda of the activities of member organizations that are in brisk move all over the world through website; submitting the affiliation of some international martial arts organizations to the IMGC to the EB.

Competitions in commemoration of Bruce Lee

International Jeet Kune Do Federation held its competitions in commemoration of Bruce Lee in Bukhara, Uzbekistan from 18-22 May, 2025. About 250 athletes and officials from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan participated in the event.

The 7th International & Thai Martial Arts Games 2025

“The 7th International & Thai Martial Arts Games 2025”was held from 18-22 May, 2025 in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. Competitions of various martial arts styles including Muay Boran, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA and Jeet Kune Do were held in the event with the participation of up to 1,500 athletes from 50 countries and regions of the world. On the invitation of Mr. Chinawut Sirisompan, a good neighbor of IMGC and Chairman of the Organizing Committee & President of World Muay Boran Federation, IMGC HQ’s delegation participated in the Opening Ceremony. Upon the authorization of IMGC, Mr. Pak Yong Chil, Vice President of Martial Arts Federation of DPR Korea made a congratulatory address at the Opening Ceremony held at Bangkok National Gym on 18 May. Government officials of Thailand offered their gratitude to IMGC for its wonderful speech and expressed their firm will to promote cooperation and develop exchange with IMGC. During its stay in Thailand, IMGC HQ’s delegation met President of World Muay Boran Federation who is in charge of the Organizing Committee, and President of World Usmanov’s Combat Systems Association who applied for the affiliation to the IMGC, and other heads of international martial arts organizations to talk about their participations in the 10th IMG and the development of their relationship with IMGC. IMGC HQ’s visit to Thailand served as a significant occasion to increase its influence among martial artists in Thailand and Southeast Asian Region while strengthening cooperation and developing exchanges.

European Taekwon-Do ITF Championships

“European Taekwon-Do ITF Championships, Tallinn 2025” was held in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia from 28 Apr to 4 May, 2025, bringing together over 1,000 participants from 28 countries.

The 2nd Open WKC/FW Asian Karate Championship and Asian Cup for Children

“The 2nd Open WKC/FW Asian Karate Championship for Cadets, Juniors, Seniors, Veterans and Asian Cup for Children” hosted by WKC/FW was held from Apr. 17-21, 2025 at “JAYQ-Arena” in Uralsk, Kazakhstan. More than 550 athletes from 18 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan participated in the event.

The 14th National People’s Sports Contest

Martial Arts Federation of DPR Korea held its competitions within the framework of the 14th National People’s Sports Contest. Competitions of Taekwon-Do, Wushu, Karate, Paduk/Go and Korean Chess were held from Mar. 20 to Apr. 3 in Pyongyang, the capital city of DPR Korea bringing together over 700 athletes and officials from all provinces.
