Pyongyang, the capital city of DPR Korea, is a historical place where traditional culture of Korean Nation was originated and developed, and the cradle and homeland of Korean Martial Arts. Pyongyang Taekyon is the root of Taekwon-Do. That is, because Taekyon is traditional martial art of Korea originated and developed round Pyongyang as a center. Also, the personnel, who nominated Taekwon-Do and established it, were practitioners of Taekyon, and thus, techniques of Taekwon-Do including kicks are based on Taekyon.
